Insulation

Why Insulate
Insulation is a simple and affordable solution to bring your older home up to modern day energy-efficiency standards. Properly insulating your interior and exterior walls, attic, and floors will significantly reduce your heating and cooling costs, outside noise, and your home’s total energy usage. Plus, when the R-value of your home’s insulation is increased to the standards of the Energy Trust of Oregon, you are eligible to receive their cash back incentives. We will help you meet their requirements by ensuring that the highest R-value and quality insulation materials are installed. There’s never been a better time to save money while increasing the comfort of your home!
Our Insulation Process
All Season performs two different types of insulation: Laid-In insulation with Fiberglass and Blown-In insulation using Cellulose.
Laid-In Insulation: Well suited for exposed and open stud walls, such as attics, fiberglass blankets are measured to fit between your home’s framing and laid in. Fiberglass insulation is an economical, flexible, and well-known product. It provides a dependable thickness of uniform density, does not settle, and is cut precisely to fit the installation space.
Blown-In Insulation: For interior and exterior walls that are sealed, blown-in insulation is the least invasive and most effective process for installing insulation. Just like its name, blown-in insulation is the process of using a tube to spray loose insulation into the cavity of your walls through small, drilled holes. Cellulose is a popular blown-in insulation material because its small particles fill in the nooks, crannies, and irregular areas of wall space. Considered by many to be a more environmentally friendly material, cellulose is composed of up to 75 percent recycled newsprint and is free of formaldehyde, ensuring that no harmful vapors are released into the air.
Where to Insulate
Exterior Walls
An exterior wall is one that faces outside or otherwise separates conditioned spaces from unconditioned spaces, such as knee walls and basement walls. Exterior walls should be thoroughly insulated in order to thermally seal your interior living space. When properly insulated, exterior walls significantly reduce drafts and create a more comfortable, energy-efficient home.
Interior Walls
An interior wall is any wall that does not make up the perimeter of your house and border the outside. Interior wall insulation greatly reduces noise migration between the separate living spaces and rooms of your home while adding to overall energy efficiency.
Attic
Often the most neglected area when it comes to insulation, the attic is one of the largest sources of heat loss, especially in older homes. Homes without proper attic insulation are not heated efficiently or effectively and therefore have higher energy bills. Whether your attic is used for storage, as a living space, or is unfinished, make sure that it is properly insulated.
Floor
Floor insulation can be installed above an unheated crawl space or basement. The advantages of property insulated floors result in the increased comfort of your home and include valuable sound control and thermal protection.
